Tallan

Here is another picture of Tallan. This picture is actually in that group of pictures a couple of posts down, the first one. I just am having fun editing and cropping and blurring.

Tallan's Foot

Jason got me a new camera and photo printer for Christmas. So now I am playing on the computer. I am going to be totally worthless! I was playing around with the software and here is Tallan's foot from Christmas Eve, so not quite 6 months old.
Finally good news, Tallan has finally rolled over!!!!! What a lazy boy!

What a Christmas!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was very interesting. Here is an insight....
Last week Dayne was sick all week. I am kicking myself b/c I did not take him to the doctor after the 2nd day of a high fever. I kept calling and e-mailing for reassurance but you know what the answer is 'Viral', I treated all the symptoms and cleaned the house and washed hands, everything that I could think possible. After day 5 Dayne was getting better :) Friday I went to work knowing that Tallan had been coughing some and a little runny nose, after work I rushed to our business where we were having a Christmas late lunch for our employees, after that was complete I headed to my moms to get the boys to find Tallan with a low grade fever. We treated the temp and just watched him. Well I guess you all know where this is going. Saturday morning Tallan had a 102 fever, runny nose that wouldn't stop and coughing that wouldn't stop. He looked sick and so pitiful, nothing we did comforted him. Off to the doctor we went! RSV or FLU what would be worse??? They swabbed him for both and the answer was RSV. How sad and my heart just sank. I told our doctor that we weren't going to be put in the hospital. Well today is 6 days later and Tallan is finally 'better'- I am saying that b/c no fever anymore and he is eating again!!!! :) I am so thankful. We are still doing breathing treatments and have one more day of prednisone, but I think he is going to be just fine. On the other hand, now Jason and I are both sick. Great huh???!!! I have no voice and just don't feel good. Jason I am sure doesn't feel good but he keeps going and going.

My poor Tallan's first Christmas- we tried to make the most of it.

I got a new camera from my wonderful husband, it is digital but you take the pic like 35mm camera. So all these pics are from the new cam. I am learning how to upload pics and view them and get them here on blogger. So here a few pics from our Christmas 2007!!!!
(maybe I should upload pics first then comment:) )

Merry Christmas!!

Here is our top of our tree. Our tree is 9 feet tall and the pics always come out looking weird (as in the pic below).

I guess it is the lights?? Our tree is getting more special every year b/c Dayne is doing ornaments at preschool and they just make me smile :) There touch to the tree is the best!!

Here is our house with our Christmas lights! Jason felt pressure from Dayne this year to put up lights b/c Dayne loves looking at all the lights on other people's houses and one evening he came home and said daddy where's Dayne's lights. The next day Jason was out buying stuff. What a sucker!!

Jason did for himself for Christmas the 'up lighting' on our house. It is really pretty in person. Drive by anytime:) He is very proud of his landscaping and lights and all his touches. I have to say all his hard work has paid off big time.

I love that I finally took the time to figure out how to upload my pics from our DVD player! It is so easy!
Everyone have a great Christmas!! Enjoy the joyous time of the year and just remember the real meaning of this Season!!
Merry Christmas from the Crosslin Family!

More Polar Express!

Tallan and Santa!! Tallan's first Christmas! How strange is that, he is 5 months old already, I can't believe it.

Dayne and his jiggle bells! They gave each child a bell after they saw Santa. Mister personality!

Dayne and Cooper! Dayne is always so excited when he gets to see Cooper and then after the visit Cooper is all he talks about! It was great to see all of you! Have a great day and have a Merry Christmas!

Polar Express Ride

Here we are. This past Sunday evening we took the boys to Chattanooga and took a ride on the Polar Express. It was a great evening!! Dayne was in awe of the trains and then to be on a train, his smiles were priceless!! We got to meet up with Jenn and Chris and Cooper and Hudson and it was so great to see them and spend some time together even with all the screaming and chaotic children around :) (mine included) :)

The boys together. I wish I could take a picture of Tallan without him opening his eyes so wide, but he is cute anyway!

Dayne and his ticket. You have seen the movie, you know how important the ticket is!! And we still have it!!!

Here's Santa!! After Dayne got his head out of the seat and decided to talk to Santa he told Santa exactly what he wanted.......John Deere Tractor and Disc! My 2 1/2 year old son know exactly what he wants so I guess Santa better deliver hugh??? :)

WOW- we have been busy!

Here are the boys!!!
I don't know where to start. I feel like I haven't been home in a few weeks. Of course Thanksgiving sneaks up on us and what a great day we had and of course feeding our faces! But after Thanksgiving was over off to Germantown we went to the 'Meet the Groom Party' for my brother and Maggie. Home for a few days then off to Pigeon Forge from this past Thursday to Sunday. We had a good time, my family went with us and Dayne was absolutely in love with our cabin.
Both of the boys are doing great. Tallan will be turning 5 months old this week and Dayne is getting better and better everyday. I think he is a little man in a child's body. I don't know why I am so blessed to have a son that reads me like a book and knows what I need him to do. We are in the struggling time of potty training. He does great on days we don't have school or a lot to do outside of our home. But we are taking it slow and my goal is his 3rd birthday.
We are trying to get ready for Christmas, every year I do this to my self and I don't know why. My husband has actually offered to go Christmas shopping with me on Saturday, I nearly fell over, but I am taking him up on it! Then Sunday we have a surprise for Dayne. We still haven't told him that we are going on a train ride and the theme is 'Polar Express'. We have him some new PJ's so I hope it goes over great. But we have been watching the movie and he is back in love with the movie so I sure when he sees a real train up close and he realizes that he gets to ride on it we won't be able to contain himself. I am looking forward to it so much!!
I hope everyone is great and I know that we have entered into the busiest time of year. The Holidays!

The Vol Walk...

Okay I have never experienced the Vol Walk. If you don't know, it is about 2- 2 1/2 hours before game time and the players and coaches walk to the stadium and all the fans gather round.
Okay, well I took Dayne over to show him part of the band, trying to get him more excited about the football game and then I realized where we were was going to be the Vol Walk area, go figure.
Sure enough, do you know who that is in the first pic. Well I am just proud I got the pic! They walk down so fast that I just held up the camera and snapped. But there is Coach Phillip Fulmer!!! Wow!! All of the football players are WOW!!! They are HUGE!!!!!

Here is Smokey! Another pic where I just held the camera and snapped and prayed it came out!!!
Dayne on the other hand clung to me I was within inces of the players and he would not give one 'high five' Oh well we still got to expereince that part of the game!
Again, what a day!!!!

First Ever UT Football Game!!!

This past weekend we took Dayne to his first ever UT Football game!!! What an experience to take a 2 1/2 year to a college game!
Here we are leaving the hotel, he was so ready. All he kept saying was 'go to the football game'

Jason got his workout!! He carried Dayne on his shoulders everywhere we went. 35 pounds gets heavy pretty quick!

He just watched the world go buy from up there :)

A quick family photo op before heading down to the stadium
Lots more to come!!!

Tallan's Dedication Day

Here is a quick look at Tallan. I took these pics from Elizabeth's shutterfly album (Thank you). I am afraid that I won't be able to post any pictures from yesterday until next week at the rate I am taking pics. Yesterday was a special day for us and we were very blessed to spend it with our family. Everyone made Tallan's dedication very special and I think we got the point across at church taking up almost 3 pews. Thanks to all who came! I will post more soon!
